Where Discipline Becomes Discovery

Here, you won't just study music. You'll examine how a Beethoven symphony reflects the values of the time. You'll collaborate with engineers on recording technology projects. You'll perform alongside faculty who lead by example, taking the stage at the highest level while pushing you to discover your own potential.

What Makes Us Different

Our curriculum spans choral studies, performance, theory, and recording technology, whether your interest lies in classical, jazz, or music history. You'll build both technical mastery and cultural literacy—understanding works as integral artistic achievements and as reflections of the moments that shaped them.

Collaboration is essential. What happens when a mechanical engineer joins a symphonic band? When a psychology major explores music cognition? When a computer science student tackles algorithmic composition? You'll find out.

Everyone performs. Everyone grows as artists. Whether you're in our philharmonic orchestra, jazz combos, marching band, or chamber ensembles, you'll work with renowned guest musicians and take private lessons from illustrious instructors. Majors and non-majors, beginners and advanced students — all are welcome. And we welcome members of the community who want to share their passion for music in one of our groups.

Beyond the Notes

Through composition projects, you'll learn to innovate with constraints. Through performance, you'll develop presence and precision. Through music history and theory, you'll master analytical tools that reveal how form creates meaning. You'll discover how discipline fuels creativity rather than limiting it.

These aren't just musical skills. They're practical problem-solving abilities that shape focused future makers—in any field.
